Hey everyone, There is something that I have been wanting to do for quit sometime. And that is start a fishing club here in my area (San Antonio) I know there are a few and by no means do I want to step on anybodies toes (so to speak) It is just something that I have had in my mind for awhile and thought I'd look into it. I would really appreciate any information and what steps I would need to take to get this rolling. Those who have any info or help to send my way could send it to my email address

I don't think that there can ever be too many clubs, and I encourage you to follow through with your plans. There are in fact probably 20 or more bass clubs in the San Antonio area. Many of them are members of the Metro League of Bass Clubs. Many are also members of the Texas Association of Bass Clubs or the Texas BASS Federation. It would be nice to just get a group together and fish, however whenever you get a group of people together, you will have problems, so a very strong constitution is strongly suggested. Some clubs fish for money and some for just bragging rights. Each type of club can be very different from the other. Bassmaster.com has info on starting a club and some suggested by laws I believe.
