The BASS elite series will be on Amistad in early March and around the 3rd week of march the top 6 Bass Federation championship will be on at Amistad that might be something to consider also

i've never been to either one but I've put a ton of time researching and learning about Falcon. and I grew up in San Antonio so I know that the heat may be pretty high when your planning to go. You may miss out on some really good fishing by then. But I may be completely wrong not ever being on Falcon. Do your homework and be ready for anything the conditions dictate. You'll land a Hawg or 3 anyway. Good luck and update the TFF

Speaking of BASS Elite, not to hijack as well, was anyone on Choke last year the weekend before they hit Falcon? My brother and I came across Jeff Kriet, not sure on the spelling, and I believe McClelland. There were two wrapped trucks @ South Shore, and we ended up spotting probably five total wraps on the lake that day. Anyhow, we were rolling through Four Fingers and they was coming in the other direction. Real cool, both of them. It was kind of funny, because only McClelland was facing us, and my brother and I had seen Zona on WGFS @ Choke with Jeff just killing 'em, so as soon as we realized we were talking to a pro, the first question my bro has is wether Zona tipped them off to that little gem. Said we saw him and Kriet, again the spelling, on the same said show, and the dude on the back of the boat turns and says, Well, that would be me!" It was him. Kind of cool seeing these pros on our lakes. They had said they couldn't get onto Falcon until Monday, so they were having a fun trip. Anyhow, that was cool, but we were also planning a trip to Falcon and were trying to decide when to go. Probably end of February. Ya'll think we need the Mexico license, or are there plenty of big fish on our side? Thanks. Sorry to geet off the subject, but I figure it's a pretty cool story.
