Catch and release with size and slot limits is going to hurt the fishing in the long run according National Fisheries Biologists in a September long term study release. Because of the slot limits, the huricanes are wiping out the breeding stock in the coastal areas, and they are taking longer to replenish themselves. Each time it takes progressively longer. Now, as long you practice selective catch and keep and not go overboard, then it won't hurt. Again, it takes a happy medium to keep from over-population and over-predation. There are good sizes to release and good sizes to keep. Just my two-cents.

We used to have beer battered fish at least once a week when I was a kid. Didn't matter what kind of fish it was!

Seems to me that if they had licenses and didn't go over the LA limits and kept nothing under the LA specified minimum size, then it's their business what they do, not mine.

PS: And if they didn't use dynamite......

Does anyone ever wonder why so many 13 3/4 inch fish are caught in Hubbard?

The only thing that I see wrong with that picture is that all the bass laying on the table come to a total of 13 lmb. while the guy holds to more making it a total of 15lmb as he stated in his post, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries states that the daily bag is 10. That is the only thing illegal. If he wants to take them fine, I'm all for Catch and release, but to each his own. Everything was fine untill he took the 11th,12th,13th,14th,and 15th. here is the link, http://www.wlf.state.la.us/fishing/recreational/freshwater/regulations/

God bless. Semper Fi.

Would tend to agree with you. The only unknown to me ... was there a second fisherman? Perhaps the guy taking the pictures? If not, then yeah he was over his limit.
