Well, it’s that time of year again. Everyone is getting cabin fever and it’s starting to spill over to the forum.

There has been a rash of senseless comments, petty bickering, post with unsavory subject matter, and personal attacks. I know everyone wants to be out on the water and some of us get a little stir crazy during the winter months, but we all need to take a few minutes and think before we post. I recently made one of the most common blunders that occur on the forum. I scanned a topic and made an assumption without reading the comments thoroughly, and then proceeded to make comments that were unfounded.

We are not the thought police, but there is a difference between having an intelligent, intriguing opinion and just plain being rude.

This has been the cycle for the past 3 years. Winter means more bickering. Please help us keep things civil. If you have a problem, let a Warden know rather than taking it upon yourself to verbally chastise another member.

If you have any problems with these request, please proceed to your nearest power plant lake and hook a 10 pound hybrid. As soon as you land the fish, please contact us with your gripes.

I am not only bassfisherman but love to hunt the white tail, that is how i get my fix in the winter months, greatest joy I have had in a long time was seeing my 11 yr old girl take her first w/t - 6 point.

Cant we just all get along.

cold weather fishing can be some of the best fishing around, especially for big stripers and catfish. and it is still deer season!!!

Good reminder. When we get to February, let's see if we can keep it the shortest month next year.
