There are a few eggheads here and one is even a distributor. But there are more knuckleheads than egg heads though...

I have never cooked with one before, but I was with my Dad when he saw an advertisement for one and he stopped dead in his tracks and said "cool i didnt know they made those anymore...sandman we need to get one of those" apparently he had one in the 80's and really liked it. Coming from a man who dropped 3k on his last grill after 6 months of research I tend to listen (also cause he is my dad), and the man knows how to grill (sorry, braggin on my dad)
I'm learning my way up to Angler Proud Member of the "DUCK BOAT MAFIA" and "JON BOAT ARMY" 1996 16' Generation III CC 70HP Rudy 2006 2660 PROKAT Twin 200 Zukes (Really my Dads, but I call Shotgun!)

Best grilling investment you'll make in my opinion. I've been through charcoal and gas grills (not a $3,000 grill mind you...). But the money I spent on a large egg has been well worth the investment. You can use it as a grill, smoker or oven...
And they aren't cheap either, but if I could find a deal like Kevster did, I'd probably buy another "just because..."
They're easier to buy now, but whe I got mine it was like buying a car: "so, would you like a stand for that? How about a flower vent for the top? Maybe a nice cast iron grate? (comes with a porcelan over steel grate)"
"Yes please"
If you buy one, skip the egg brand table though. You can find plans on the 'net and build it WAY cheaper if you're handy at all with a saw and a Dewalt screw gun. Or build a custom one.

Never heard anything but raves over the Big Green Eggs. Including from a guy I work with.

I wish I could get more for that price. there are three guys that i work with that got 1 when i did when I got it set up and had my buddy over they all wanted 1 but they would not give me that price any more. SORRY. and I also agree the tables are not that great this spring I am going to get rid of the egg table and build my own with a tile top. the green egg is a great tool.

For you guys wanting an egg, I believe that Bankbeater has connections and the more that order from him the price goes down.
Might be worth getting in touch with him on a group order.
