Whoever I met out their today from TI it was nice to meet ya.

The keepers was nothing spectacular, if stepped on'em you might have gotten 11"s out of em.

Jig and bobber 2.5 to 3' on brush in the middle of the creek.

Marc,

It was nice meeting you also. Thanks for showing me the jig and bobber technique. It's much easier to duplicate once you've see it in action. I'll probably make it back down there at lunchtime some time during the week over the next couple of weeks.

See you down at the creek....Greg

For you jig and bobber guys....dont hesitate to throw on a larger bait. I am going to hit the creek hard with a 3-4in shad swimbait. This bait has been very productive for me in the winter time in DFW creeks!

Fish are cold blooded and opportunistic. In cold water, big baits "should" out-produce small baits because crappie and all fish alike instincts are to get the most for there buck when its cold.

With all the very large shad, the 3-4 inch bait should be easy to pick out of a group for a crappie, plus, you can catch bigguns instead of the 5-9 inchers.

Just another option for you guys that are getting frustrated with the smaller fish.
