the weirdest thing i caught was a clam and lizard on back to back cast on lake fork......on a chrome Rat-l-Trap

I threw a rattle trap and as soon as it hit the water, it exploded. I knew I'd caught something nice. I finally got it to the boat and had a bass on each set of hooks. both about 2-3 lbs. My wife is my witness.

Fishing of the pier in Alabama, I caught a remora. That's one of those hitchhiker sucker fishes that stick on the sides of sharks, for those that don't know. It was solid black with a yellow stripe down the middle. It looked poisonous so I didn't touch it!

I didn't catch it but saw a buddy who was catfishing at the time. I saw his rod tip "twitch" 2-3 times, he set the hook and reeled in a WALLET with Student ID, Video rental ID card and $40.00. I wouldn't have believed it but I saw it.

I located some fish on a flat near a creek in a tournament and on one cast I would catch a pair of underwear, the next cast a two pound bass, then a sock, then a trash bag, then another bass, then an old blanket, then a bass. This went on for an hour. I actually think those fish were holding on the trash.

I also caught two fish on one cast on a 1/4oz rattle trap. Not that unusual, but they were keepers number four and five in a tournament.

I was fishing a tourney on Cedar Creek, and my partner had just set the hook in 18' and lost his zoom fry, reeling in a bare hook. I was throwing a dd22, and a few cast later, my bait started to wobble funny. I brought it in and his torn ring fry was on the bill of my bait. I have caught bullfrogs, alligators, and once caught a buddies calcutta/rod combo trolling for wipers on Palestine 2 days after he lost it. I returned it to him after cleaning it, and the day he got it back happened to be his b-day. No telling what you will pull up draggin a bait!!

4-foot rattlesnake at Fork; I was reeling in to get out of his way and just as I pulled my worm above water it spooked him, he changed course and set the hook on himself. I talked my buddy into taking my picture holding it up with the rod before we cut it loose. 205/75/14" trailer tire at Fork (it fought like a 15" tire). Baby gator above 99 bridge at Choke on white grub. Cut it loose quick; worried its mama was watching.

But the coolest was the buddy from the snake incident many years earlier before we had boats when we fished below the dam at Granbury for stripers. At first light, a guy settled in next to us on the bank and lost his rod and reel on the the first cast and mumbled it was brand new. The next week my buddy hooks into some line and reels in a broken rod with the reel attached. Cleaned it up and still has it on a shelf; it works. Same one that was lost a week earlier? Who knows?

I'd hate to see whoever needed a 10 ft condom!

i got hung in a tournament broke off a crankbait came back to that spot later in the day and actually caught my crankbait.

Got a hit on a crank bait.Set the hook, felt hung up. Finally pulled it up with a catfish on braided line with another crankbait still in its mouth.Looked like it was new.

pond fishing has made me catch some pretty wierd stuff: a boot while throwing a crankbait, and a clam, which hit when I got a backlash on my rod. also a dog ate my jig while crappie fishing.

oh yeah also an eel, how do I clean my boga grip now?
