I had a rod get stuck in a door and now it's about 6 inches shorter. It broke an inch above the second eye. Is there any fixing it if I take it to SW Parts or such? About how much would that cost? Would fixing it lessen the feel of it?

It's a Falcon Cara (maybe i lowrider, can't remember now), and I don't think they offer a lifetime warranty or anything. Too old to take back to Academy I think. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Nate

Nate you can put a new tip on it but it will drastically change the action. I really think it would be worthless.

Contact Falcon and tell them you broke it. I broke one and they sold me another at a highly discounted price. Had to cut the logo and model number section of the rod and send to them. They make great rods and were quick to help me get over my screw up.

As far as warranty...I say if you broke it in a door, it's not a flaw in the rod. smile

Warranty

Each Falcon rod is warranted against defects in manufacturing and/or materials. In addition, we offer an "out of warranty replacement policy" where you can replace your damaged rod at a reduced cost. Please contact us at customerservice@falconrods.com with any questions. Please note, accidental damage like stepped-on guides and crushed blanks from car doors is not the result of a defect and will not be covered under warranty.

Academy will replace if it is a Lowrider. Don't think they carry Cara's.

Thanks yall - I might call Falcon and ask, can't hurt. Otherwise, I'm in the market for a new rod! Redrooster, you're right about that - no warranty for my clumbsiness.

Yep--that rods a gonner--don't even try to fix it--your wasting your money--call Falcon--if they can't help you--just buy a new rod.
