I too have quite a list:
Dead starting battary Kill switch left on Lost three, no four rods to the lake Drove off with trolling motor down (lots!) sucked up sand with live well pump for two hours before noticing it. Drove around with a very slow boat until I relized the hull held about 50 gallons of water from the down pour the night before. dropped truck keys in the lake, fortunatly it was at the ramp and the water was down low. They were retrieved. Fell in with cell phone on. Hooked a water moccosin and dragged it to the boat, then cut the line. Had the trailer and boat run down my driveway crashing into the neighbors fence.
Tight Lines! God Bless

I have done mostly all also. I carry a bag of rice at all times for electronics.
I have never taken a dump over the side of the boat! I have had to make a nature walk in the woods.
A couple of years ago, I was in a hurry to get to the lake while a buddy was following behind me. I ran over a RR track way too fast and the ball came unhitched. The safety chain stuck and the trailer put quite a dent in my tail-gate. After that the safety chain broke and the boat ended up in a ditch that was pretty easy to dig up the tongue and reattach to the hitch. Absolutly nothing happened to the boat, myself, wife, or my buddy behind. I was lucky. I drive with my boats a LOT slower at all times now. Lesson learned
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together

"The bird flew around the boat a couple of time like I was flying a big remote controlled plane. It made long slow circles and I just stood there turning and looking around to make sure no one was watching."

note to self...cut line when any bird with a sharp beak is on the other end.

So far this year I hooked a pitbull in the mouth, he got in the water and charged the boat so I flipped my T-rig in his mouth. after a minute or so I cut the line. Last week I threw on the bank and a cat ran out and grabbed it, fortunately for him I didn't set the hook and he was able to spit it.

Great story with a good ending, the bird got off without 50 yards of line attached to it.
You guys know everything..... I'm just an idiot....no problem........

He made a great point in his story - keep your sunglasses on! Someone on the TFF had an eye poked out by a blue heron. Beautiful birds, but that beak has to be respected.

Last year on Fayette I was fishing the baffle dike with a t-rigged worm and 30lb braid. Right as I made a cast a big vulture took off and my line wrapped right around him. He flew straight away from me, he was peeling drag like crazy and I put my thumb on the spool to try and slow it down, bad idea. Had the worst burn on the tip of my thumnb, hurt for weeks. finally cranked down on the drag and the line finally snapped, sounded like a 22 rifle going off. Never could turn the bird on my 6'6" compre medium heavy worm rod. Bird dang near spooled me. I look back at my father in-law and he's on the back deck in tears laughing at me. Good times hope it never happens again!!

I was trailering the boat to clean fish. Being "Joe Cool" guide, I jumped down from the boat, caught one of the driftmaster rod holders with my pants (shorts) and pretty well tore them right off in front of a ramp full of people!
A few years ago, being in a hurry, I gassed up and got down the ramp. Started the motor, looked back and saw the pump nozzle and 5 feet of hose sticking out of my gas tank. I sheepishly took it back to the store....

Well, I can say I have done most all those things but some under slightly diffrent circumstances. #3 comes to mind. When I was a kid in Indiana Uncle Bill would take us cousins to the Flat Rock River to fish. I snagged a spinning reel still attached to the pole out of the river one spring. It was all dirty and covered in slime but I cleaned it all up and got everything working. I had never had a spinning rig before so that is the rig I learned how to cast on. Before the summer was over I came to hate that reel. For some reason the bail would not stay open during a cast. If it did stay open it didn't want to close when I started reeling the line in. I bought some parts for it, disasembled and reassembled that reel time after time but something always went wrong with it. Toward the end of summer I was getting reel frustrated. (pun intended). Uncle Bill took us back to that same spot on one trip and I took immense pleasure it throwing that spinning reel, pole, and tackle right back in the same spot I had fished it out of ealier.
