+1 on the beetlespin with a grub preferably white or the tried and true yellow black H&H on a zebco 33 that way my kid can keep the action going when I find where thye are. She brought in 6 over 2 lbs while I was trying to get tied up on my 2nd rod a few weeks ago.

Rooster Tails seem to always get their attention pretty quick on small waters. If that doesn't work, a small black Jitterbug drives them CRAZY!!!

Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity. Patton

speakin' of a classic, that 1 1/2" black Jitterbug over grass is as classic as you can get. Day or night; you cant beat that bait. The Rebel Bighopper is also a great search bait. Twitch it on top and see how bad your nerves are!
