If you're going to fish in any part of the lake that is on the Oklahoma border, then yes. If you're only going to shoreline fish from the TX side, then no. If you're fishing from a boat, you're best off getting the license

Well here is the dumb part--A fishing license is from Sept-Sept(I think) and Texoma license is Jan-Dec so if you buy one now you'll be buying another in a couple of weeks--just $10 but still.

If you wait until the week after next (Dec 15th) they will push it over to 2009. Like a warden told me 7.00 is cheaper than 250.00

Lake Texoma License is $12.00 from January 1 till December 31 of the same year.

You can fish the lake if you have both a Texas and Oklahoma license. If you also plan to fish below the dam this is a better way to go. You can get an OK license online. Print off mutiple copies in case you lose one. I keep one in my Jeep, fishing vest and wallet. If you are going to only fish the lake a Texoma license is the way to go.

Last year, on Dec. 31 I went to Academy in NRH and wanted to buy a Texoma lisc. for 08 and they told me I would have to wait till the next day otherwise it would only be good for that night . We ended up buying one on Texoma on New Years Day.
