Yes Ernest that was a very informative thread. Rudy is good people. Also Red top Lady sent me the bank fishing brochure the Crappie Guys put together back in OTT 5. Those guys really put alot of time and effort into that! Thanks again Ernest.

+1 Thank you Ernest. Red Top Lady sent a lot of us the info you and Guy put together for us and it's splendid as well. We on the forum are VERY lucky to have all the fishing knowledge available to us by the very best in the business. I hope I can someday share info and promote fishing the way you boys do.

I found the thread yesterday and tried my luck at the creek today and caught quite a few. All undersized but fun to catch and gave me good practice since I stink when it come to fishing jigs! Very good info. Now I'm on Google Earth trying to find more spots to fish! Good stuff, especially as windy as it is outside.

Nice Silvia! Was this the first time you went creek fishing? What setup were you using?

Only the second time I've gone. The first time I went was a few years ago and did not have any luck probably because I was not sure of what to look for, kinda gave up. After reading many post like HWGIV did above, I was not really sure of what and where to fish. I have only fish deep water at night dunking minnows. I'm a visual learner, so the post helped out quite a bit. I fish a tube jig about 1' under a cigar float. Once I figured out the pattern and how to fish the setup, I was catching about every other cast. Very fun! Hopefully bigger crappie will move in soon, still fun to catch and release the small one's though.

I agree that was a great post by Rudy. Now if I could only find some creeks to put that info to the test. Any idea for creeks around Lewisville?
