Hey thats cool if you want to go out on a limb with a homeless person. If you really want to do something great you can also look into the Wounded Warriors at BAMC. I haven't done it yet, but I intend to. There are lots of guys there that are recovering from injuries in Iraq and Afghanistan, and they look for people that can take them or thier kids fishing. A lot of these guys are in very long term rehab and their families are there staying with them. Its a great thing if you can take their kids fishing for a day. I think if you contact the Fisher House at BAMC they can point you in the right direction. These guys have sacrificed everything so we can enjoy our freedoms, its a great way to give back...
My worst day fishing was better than my best day at work

I have always wondered why the long term homeless there near the shelters at Lancaster and Riverside in Ft. Worth don't hang out and fish on the river there. You never see them there. IF I were a rich man.......I have always wanted to buy a couple of hundred Zebco 33 combo rigs and a bunch of worm cartons and distribute them along up and down Lancaster street and see what happens. The nice grassy levee is only a few hundred yards away.
