Never been on Grapevine.
Can anyone tell me what the quality of fishing is for Sandies, Hybrids, Stripers & Blue Cats?
I'm really interested in the big fish, preferably the ones that can snap line and crack rods. How about it.

Sandy's Great
Blue Cats Good
Crappie Good
Stripers None
Hybrids None
Welcome to the TFF. welcome
Your best bet at cracking a rod would be with a blue cat or a flathead. You also have a fair chance at a lake record on a blue and a real good chance on a channel. If you like chasing after the green trash fish hmmm, I believe the slot limit they've had on Grapevine for the last few years is really starting to pay off.

Then drive the extra 10 miles and go to Lewisville.

Grapevine does have some good catfishing for both trophy blues and eating size fish. Here's a good one a client caught this summer. Along with some fine table fair.

I appreciate the info.
It would seem from the number of responses to this thread that Grapevine would be a wasted trip.
Guess I'll just stick to the lakes I know.

eeksNo,No,No, never waisted. Only if you want your rod broke. It's great for sandys and good for kittys. Especially now that most of the pleasure boaters and jet fleas are gone. I like the vine but of course it's only about 10mins from my house grin.
