I was out doing some bank fishing for Catfish and had a spare rod in the truck, put myself a small 1/2 oz humdinger on the line and cast it out, found I only had about 30 feet of line on the reel after it stopped in flight (Glad I had tied a knot), as I was retrieving the lure I thought it was stuck on the bottom, then the bottom started to move, I realized I had a fish on the line, a big one. The line was 4Ib test and I had a really good fish on the line, after 25 minutes of adjusting the drag, letting it go out a little way and carefully bringing it in, I gradually wore it out, when I got it to shore it was approx 24 inches long and I got my scale from the truck and it weighed in at 14.7 bs, it was a good fish, a really good fight on a 4 ib line and 30 foot of line.

Awesome! Great story, very cool! Congrats on the fish. Carp are incredible fighters, that's why I love catching them so much.

Congrats! I'm not one to fish for any type of fish on UL Tackle, But it's always a great accomplishment to catch a fish of that size on very light tackle!
