Pampa, TX, can't remember the name of the store though. You could probably call any bait shop there and hopefully they would know.

What's so bad about fishing waterdogs? I remember this was a huge fad in the late 80s/early 90s for catching spawning bass on lake fork.

Bait shop between Fayetteville and Fayette County Lake.

Using dogs ain't fishin'. . .it's feedin'.

Real trucks don't have spark plugs and real fishermen don't use live bait (for bass)!

Thats some expensive catfish bait!! Only problem I have with fishing waterdogs is that bass caught on them are usually hooked really deep. Sure hate to lose a big fish do to catching them deep. If the fish will hit a waterdog it will hit something else IMHO. It a lot more of a challange figuring out what that other bait is though and thats why I love the challange of fishing.

I have never had to purchase any waterdogs, over in west texas, they are plentifull.the only problem is trying to get the 4"or 6".we set out the traps and we catch some that look like small gators.we usually make those into cut bait.

Ace Tackle on Parmer Lane in Austin used to have them. I fished with a fellow a few years back who was using them and I was c-rigging a lizard. I caught 3:1 against him, probably because I covered more water and wasn't dealing with swallowed hooks nearly as often.
