Hello All, Its been awhile since my last post. If you were to buy a new sonar unit, what would you buy and why? And where? I have a GPS, NO combo's PLEASE. So all I want is a good unit with high Resolution 480 and a large screen. I have been eyeballing the Eagle 480 but not sure? Thanks to all. CBW18
Theres only two kinds. Good ole big'ems. And big ole good ems.

Many thanks to all Replies.Good feedback! I just found an Lowrance X125 for 20.00 more bucks new. Almost the same but more watts/power. Both are great units.Same Company, But I'm leaning to the X125 CBW

Anyone have the scoop on the new Hummingbird Matrix 67 combo. It's got 640x320 pixels and loads of capabilities. I found it while looking for a new GPS/fishfinder combo. Now I want to compare it to the Eagle 480 FishElite. Decisions, decisions. Oh, they are almost the same price too. H/B-$449.00+ shipping Eagle $465 shipped.

I have the Eagle Fishmark 480 and love it...great value. The Lowrance x125 is the equivalent with a little more power like you stated. Our lakes here are not deep enough for the power to really be worth it, but either one will make great units.
