Started about 1:00pm with my brother in law, nephew and my son looking for sand bass on Joe Pool. Found light bird action southeast of Lynn Creek park, probably 150 yards off the most eastern boat ramp.

We drifted through the sandies, slabbing with TNT's. My 14 year old was tearing them up on a TNT 180 holo/blue 1.5oz, I was using a TNT 180 holo, and sometimes a chart/white Humdinger which also worked well. Vertical slabbing was the presentation of the day, though we picked up a few on Shad Raps (b/w, #5 size) while trolling between locations. Best time was from about 1:30 to 3:30.

Ended up keeping about 20 decent ones for an upcoming fish fry. It was a real nice day on JP, light breeze (4-6mph?) and sunny/warm. Not many people out either, except for the "special" fella with the ski boat that went through the diving birds and bass school at 40mph about 3 times. Good day overall.

nice work... the day before was hell w/ the wind, constant 2 ft waves in the middle of the lake.

I thought it might have been tough on Friday or Saturday. My nephew tells me he was on a pond on Saturday in a little bass-buster boat (two man plastic thing) - crazy.

The odd thing about these folks was they weren't even pulling a skier or wakeboarder, just flying around the lake in a real nice MasterCraft. Strange.
