Got a rare day off from school and some help from fellow guide and friend Mike Ryno- www.txcatfish.com to fish a corporate trip for Scott Wells & Microsoft down at Choke. Didn't get started till nine and fished till 330 but ended an absolutely beautiful day with 138 fish caught and Scott landed his new PB of 20 pd blue cat on Team Catfish Double Action Circle Hook 5/0 and cut shad. grinRest of the fish came on Big Marv's and they were eating it up. It was the third fish of the day and set the tone. Mike and I were able to fish side by side and let the 8 guys rib each other and catch fish all day. Probally one of the funnest trips I been on in long while.
Talked to Mike and they caught 125 fish today as well banana
Gotta love S.TX in the fall...deer and whiskers.
Couldn't have done it without ya Mike, thanks ten fold Scott for getting these guys down here to do some S.TX fishing.
Have some weekends open before Turkey day as well as the 26th.
Life is good...Cliff

Hey Cliff,
Thanks for a great day on the water, Scott and the guys were awsome to Fish with, I hope we can do it again some time. I think the guys really had a good time, they relly enjoyed being close enough to toss can drinks back and forth.
You can't beat that digger anchor either, it held 2 boats with no problems.
We did end up with 125 fish today Thur. We fished from 8A till 2P, great weather and an overall super day on the water.

Any time you need me brother, just give me a ring.

i talked to mike a couple days before he guided on this trip, i had fished the week before and last wk sunday, when i seen mike we talked for a hr or so , i knew the fishing was off and was hard, my girl and i fished hard, with every bait we could find, with poor results, for two trips, mike told me one day its easy the next day really hard to find the fish, but my hats off to mike and hillbgentry there really good fisherman, i dont know hillbgentry but i know mike , and i bet they worked like the dickens to put these guys on fish, and still make it look easy, if i see them on the lake its hard not to anchor close , we did that a couple months ago and caught 36 keepers in 3 hrs, mike hasent shot at me yet , hes a great guide and has my respect, if you want meat hes one of the best in my book

I guarantee the customer begged to keep the big one and I guarantee that Cliff does more for fishing that will far overshadow him keeping one fish over ten pounds. I cannot understand why some need to bring in the negative after looking at a bunch of pictures of happy people. Comeon Jonas your on the wrong forum to pull punches on people from behind a keyboard.

Ray, I appreciate it and thanks man.
Mike- 10-4 and good fishin bro..Good Luck with hunters this week.
Jonas, your absolutely right it does and it's a valid question. Yes we did keep the fish. Several factors were into play and we decided to keep it. Hypricritical a bit , I understand but decision was made and stand by it. No ill will taken. Good Question.
Life is still good and tight lines.

What an absolutely great day! Cliff and Mike did an awesome job and made it great fun for everyone. Those Seattle guys will be talking about this one for a long time to come. Have to give them credit too, they are true sportsman and caught more than their share of the fish!

If any of you guys are looking for a great trip hook up with Cliff and Mike...you will be glad you did.

As far as the fish you need to bring that to me Jonas. I did beg Cliff to let me keep it (my PB remember). There was no way he was getting back outta of the boat cheers

Scott

At least one person understood that I wasn't being disrespectful. I was looking at your site and into your services cause I had heard good things and I wanted to learn the lake better. If I had caught that fish I would of wanted to keep it so I asked.

It's hard to understand emotion from keyboard to keyboard.

My apologies Jonas. You are correct, I did misread the inflection and maybe I jumped too soon. Again, my apologies for reading your inflection wrong, glad you responded and good luck at Choke.

I've been enlightened. This is EXACTLY the truth!!! Haha. And I'm always hungry when I fish because I never take the time to eat enough while fishing.
