Guys please go to this post and read it. Feel free to comment there in that forum, or this one. Peta is getting on my nerves. They want us all to eat vegetables, and not have pets, or hunt, or fish. I am sick of their nerve. Take a look at this latest I found out about them. Their latest is on anglers now...they go from one kick to another, but the end result for them is the same, just as I said.

they have already got thru to a large number of kids, some on this forum, just look at the please release & be kind to the fishes replies on some of these threads... a wise man told once told me "some of them are gonna die", he was referring to fish being caught, (not kids)meaning that even catch & release isn't perfect, but hey, guess what ? thats the way it is. Eating fish goes back to the days of christ, so who am I gonna side with, Jesus or some bunch of wack jobs from hollyweird ?

Catching fish is just plain good fun. It is a healthy activity. It takes a bit of skill. You get vitamin D from sunlight. Eating the fish you catch is good for you. Sure beats burgers for health, although I like red meat too. PETA thinks it is wrong to eat any kind of meat, and because of them some egg prices are gonna go up too. If they only realized those damn vegetables are screaming when they rip them out of the ground, maybe then they would shut up. You know, funny thing is back in my Grandma's day people had to kill their own meat. Since you have been buying meat at stores in the more modern times, people have gone soft. If they want all veggies, more power to them. But I don't want them telling me what I can eat, and whether or not I can catch my own dang food. Especially since I pay for the license to do my angling. They are just people who need a hobby. My hobby doesn't infringe on their rights, and their hobby SHOULD NOT infringe on mine.

They are a bunch of whack jobs with to much time on there hands.I guess they didn't get enough attention from mommy or daddy when they were younger. So this is there way of trying to make it in our society. Unfortinantly they all are a few bricks shy of a load. You know I find it funny, Plants are living organisims to. They require food, water, and oxygen to live. So I say they are condradicting themselves there and not eat plain and simple. One active member is going to schools, Im sorry our public school systems allow this, I dont think it right for these people to try and brain wash the youth of america.

most of these idiots couldn't survive on a true vegetarian diet, there are a LOT of animal products & by-products that are common in packaged food, to escape it all is just about impossible. Also the only reason for true vegetarianism is the flimsy "moral grounds", as it doesn't provide a healthier diet, actually lacking in many important vitamins & minerals, if they don't want to catch fish thats fine with me, hell, better than fine...lakes are crowded these days, it leaves more for me, but if they ever confront my right to fish face to face I truly feel sorry for their then short term existence.

Every time you master-bait God kills a sea kitten.
Sad but it is true. de

OK, just keep in mind that these people are simply and only insane. Nothing more, just ravers. They walk the streets but that is about it.

We cannot let our guard down but don't try to make sense of it because there is none.

I mean, what are they planning on doing about this?

PETA just isn't likely ever to have any credibility.

Fishing is a great thing - people who fish care for the places they fish, for one, and care for the fish they target. Wherever commercial pressures have driven species to the brink, or wherever industrial pressures have driven habitats to the brink, sport fishers have stepped up to protect, preserve, and conserve. That's only one small example of how sport fishing helps not just people, but, dare I say it... sea kittens (ugh).

I'm convinced that in their heart of hearts, people involved with PETA mean well, and I admire their passion for their cause, but I find it sad that they can't see beyond a very narrow, terribly constricting way of thinking.

Sunfish are sorta cute. Trout are beautiful. These bucketmouths down here... well, they're just fun to spar with.

Every time I see anything on the net about PETA, well let's just say I can feel my blood pressure going up. It makes me want to go to Ted Nugent's web site for a while and buy another 10 mm pistol.
