Some pretty good fishing out at Overlook.

Caught some nice Channel Cats and some fun Carp out there, fishing J pigg punchbait.

Time of day doesn't seem to matter, as they are always biting.

Cool, I haven't caught more than 1 or 2 catfish on that lake in one sitting ever. I need to try it out next time I go back home.

There are some nice size carp in that lake though.

You gotta stick 'em!

Yes, I caught around 6 nice size Carp. Lots of fun, but useless to me.

Had to jump in the lake twice to grab one of my poles because I did not have it in a rod holder. I always thought they would float, with the foam handles, but no, they sink like a stone.

Caught a nice 2-3 lb channel, and quite a few smaller ones. Nice steady biting throughout the day.

It's good to finally actually catch some fish, instead of getting my [censored] kicked every time.

Hey Mike, that is awesome. I went to Georgetown early spring , caught a good size channel ( 8 lb +) once, but that was in Jim Hogg park. Looks like the fishes move back to deep now, Maybe I should try this weekend.

Catfisher 08 I think I remember your post. How can I forget the only cat ever caught at Lake Gtown until, last night. Lake has to be fished out by now...thats three in a year. Carp are not a waste, freeze those dudes and use them as bait for cats...in a different lake. Drive about thirty minutes east to Granger.

Georgetown has some nice channel cats in it. Fish up the river by all the standing timber. A little chum and stink bait around the timber works good.

Ray,

It has been long time since I post. Yeh, that was fun to catch a 8lb in Georgetown early spring. Did not fish a lot since then , Georgetown is really low now a days. But after see Mike's post, I went to overlook to try my luck today. Believing or not, caught a 1 lb channel, and couple of small blue, all let go. cool Also lost a pretty heavy bass or a striper due to a loosen tie. mad The channel is caught using Team catfish punch bait, first time using it, pretty good stuff. The fish went after it crazy.

Michael
