Team Oskar Blues spent the weekend down at Emma. ( Third Annual [censored] Halloween Disaster. )
Joining us this time were Zach and Dave, LonestarCarper and Long Haired Dave if you're not familiar with them, hehe.
Like everywhere else, fishing was VERY slow over the weekend, with only 4 fish landed.
Bret had one carp about 18lbs, and I had three fish on my gear. ( One of which Zach caught cause I wasn't waking up fast enough hehe. )
But my fish more then made up for the slow weekend. I landed a beautiful 23lb Common Carp...
And a massive but unusually torpedo shaped 42lb Buffalo!
Yep, finally got the monkey off my back and broke 40.

Dave, I need those pics! Yours are better then Zach's, you must not have had as much to drink hehehe.

in Feb 1991 I caught my biggest freshwater fish of any species, it was a buffalo weighing in at 38 lbs, caught on a crankbait while fishing for hybrid stripers, anyway lone star lake & lake of the pines in east texas are full of big buffalo & carp too.
so anyway, i kinda know how you all feel about ketchin' them big fish, congratulations
