Anyone been? I have heard one report of a lot of small fish caught under the 514. Not many keepers though.

Fished fork Saturday and only had 2 keepers off the 154 bridge. Fished 515 some on Friday with only one keeper. Also fished the deeper points by the dam with no results. It appeared other were having the same issue. Saw a lot of fishing but not much catching but the weather was excellent which eased the pain some.

Check brush piles if you got em'. I have found them in anywhere from 15'-30' around trees and bridges, but a lot of them have been suspended anywhere from 6'-20'.

No fish there...keep moving along...

Seriously though, the bite was tough for me and my buddy all weekend. We fished 514 and 154 bridges, timber from 22 to 35 ft deep, plus a few brush piles. Tried depths everywhere from 8 ft to 30 ft and only managed three dinks.
Didn't notice anyone tearing 'em up either. Hope somebody did well, but it wasn't us.

No crappie for me this past weekend. Fish brush and bridges. I used jigs and minnows. This time last year they were stacked up on the bridges. Why aren't they there now? Tried at the dam also, no luck.

That poor lake gets walloped every weekend and most weekdays! Its a wonder there are any crappie left! Hopefully opening day gun season will keep the lake to a small riot this weekend.

Had 10 keepers yest eve for my first trip back in a few months. Pretty dissapointing. Was no real pattern outside they weren't on shallow or deep brush or pilings very well. Wasn'te ven a color they preferred. Next time I hit the lake I'll be trolling the S end...

It was nice to be on the lake and not a rooftop though!!! Might hit palestine or cypress later this week...

I havent been since the Oct. tourny but the fish are still plentiful. If you think not, I honor your statement, and just leaves more for me grin I caught plenty of decent fish in October and plan to resume my [pattern in Late November following into Dec.) Cant say I always catch huge fish, but can always say never skunked. Fork is my most consitent lake in my area. I have been fishing Lavon this Fall and LOanded Real haealthy fish closer to home and will continue to visit that lake on my days off from deer hunting, but I always make an effort to hit Fork many times when the temps are frigid and always done well.

Good Luck and dont give up on one of the States most producing Lakes grin
