Anybody have an opinion? I like my revos but when they cast it feels like the bearings are all going out.I have not owned a green Curado yet though.

I have had the Revo S all the way through the Inshore and I stuck with the Inshore and I also got a Curado E7. I like them both, mainly use my Inshore for Top Waters and heavier baits then I go to my Curado for finesse baits. Ive pretty much been an Abu guy all my life but this is the first Shimano that Ive owned and I must say it is my favorite reel right now.
Take Um'!

Tough call, as both are wonderful reels, though I prefer the low-profile Shimano line.
I have several older made-in-Sweden Abu's and they are bulletproof, but a little on the heavy side.

Your bearings shouldn't be going out on your Revo unless you've dumped it in salt water and never cleaned it. Do you think it might need some oil? IMO, they cast about the same. They both feel good in my hand. The Curado is very nice, but the Revo drag is amazing.

Robert, all my STXs are new,but for some reason the revo models with the infinity spool design are not near as smooth casting as models without( such as SC,S,SX).Anybody have any complaints on the new green Curado???

I returned two Revo STX's after a couple months. They both got noisier and noisier each trip out. No real failures though just annoying. They are also made in Korea or China (can't remember) versus Japan for the Curado. I just bought my first green Curado 7 and am blown away. Probably the most comfortable Shimao reel since the 50mg maybe. Shimanos will be great for many years and others may be great for a month or two. Go Shimano.

I have never used a Revo but I'm very happy with all of my Curados.

I have a Revo S, and let me tell you it is a very nice reel. I am kind of bias towards Abu though. I have never used a Curado, but have always been told they are nice reels. You probably can't go wrong with either. Just a matter of brand preference in my opinion.
