when fishing from the surf, jetties or piers when do like to fish the most,during high tide or right before or right after and the same about low tide. thanks

I like to fish 3hours before and after the high tide, but really all you're looking for is moving water. As long as the tide is moving in or out, you should be good.

I go by the incoming or ebbing of tides a great magazine to follow is the "gulf coast fisherman" it has taught me a lot about tides and have fished with a lot of success. generally in the surf i like to fish when in low tide when ebbing only because I can wade further out to deeper holes or other structure.on the other hand i love to fish for mangrove snapper on a slack tide because they are great table fare fish and are caught with great ease when the tide is slack.
