just past Hyatt on 71 on the same side of the road is a greek restaunant that a Greek man (not the owner!) told me about. It is really good. It is in a small strip center just before one of the overpasses. Can't remember the name, but it is a few miles toward Bastrop and the sign says something about Greek and Italian food...

Also great hiking park (McKinney Rough)with trails along the river next door to the Hyatt with direct access from the resort if you are into that sort of thing

In Austin, El Arroyo on 5th Street is pretty good Mexican fare.
If you like BBQ there are many, but probably the most famous is the Salt Lick. They just opened one up at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
If you like really good seafood try McCormick & Schmicks or Eddie V's.

I like a hue.

Luling City Market in Luling is the number one in BBQ -

about 43 miles SE of the Hyatt; take 71 E from the Hyatt and turn right on Hwy 20 towards Lockhart. About 20 miles down 20 take left on FM 86 towards Luling. 20 Miles down 86 you come to Hwy 183, take a left for 1 mile then a right-right before the railroad tracks and you are there.

Blakes Cafe in Luling - right next to City Market.

Guadalajara in Bastrop

Jaliscos in Bastrop

Mi Mi G's in Bastrop use to be good; havent been there in years.

Lockhart - Smittys, Kreuz, Blacks BBQ, Mr Taco

Go to the Oasis on Lake Travis. Food is average but the view is the deal
