Hey hey, I havent seen as many minnows and shiners around my waters edge as I usually do. Do I need to add more. The pond was stocked roughly a year ago with LMB, bluegill and a ton of minnows. If I do need to add more feeder fish does anyone know of a place around Nacogdoches to get them? What size should my LMB be before I start to add catfish? Help help

I doubt that you need any. They are usually used to jump start young bass on a new pond. Then the bluegill take over.

CoorsLightKid,
If you stocked it with LMB a year ago, then it is to be expected that the minnows will pretty much disappear by now. You can add more, but you are basically spending your money inefficiently because the LMB will eat them before they can reproduce. If you stocked adequate numbers of BG and augment that with Tilapia next spring, you will have a far more efficient and effective approach to raising forage.
But if you really want to add some, then I'd suggest you watch the local feed stores for a schedule for a fish truck from Arkansas. They sell fatheads, the minnow you are mostly talking about, for around $8 per pound which is a good price. By the way, you may already know that it takes 10 pounds of minnows to add 1 pound of weight to a LMB...that's why I said it is very inefficient to use minnows for forage once the LMB are established.
You can add catfish anytime you wish, but realize they will compete with the LMB in your pond for the some of the same resources. Just depends on what you want from the pond...if big bass, then forget the cats.
