I finally think ive settled on a good bank spot at Lake Palestine. I see everyone talkin about chumming and Im thinking about doin it a couple days before I go next time. Somebody fill this city boy in on this soured milo business! If its hard to obtain then let me know what would be easier- any help is greatly appreciated and will definitely let anyone who wants to know, where/when on LP ill be chummin.

Buy a bag of maze at your local feed store, put it in a bucket with a lid that seals(I prefer a black bucket because black absorbs heat) add a six pack of the cheapest beer you can find and some water if needed, seal it all up, let it ferment for a couple two or three weeks, then throw a couple cup out about thirty minutes to an hour before, in the hole you want to fish.

Another thing I do is to put alfalfa cubes in an onion sack, tie off with a rope and chunk in out. Being in an onion sack, the fish cant eat it all at once, and that spot will stay baited for days.

Redlowe hit the spot on chum. I'll take my maze and place in knee high stockings and tie it to something in the water. That will keep the maze in that one spot and let the scent drift out. If you can find a tote sack, they work great. Good idea on the black bucket. You can use buttermilk to help sour maze quicker. I also have used bird seed you buy at Wal Mart. It has alot of maze and corn in them.
