Anyone fished these? What did yall catch?

What is a good pond for Bass around Grapevine area right now? Please do not say Colleyville Nature Center, it never worked out for me...

yes. split shot 6" above a small plastic worm. Bedford Boys ranch is better.

Chisholm park has catfish in it. The city stocks it every other week. You could do well with all of the normal catfish baits. I have fished Bedford Boys Ranch and I've seen other people as well, but I have never seen anyone catch anything. I'm curious to hear what others say, because these two are relatively close to my house I and would love to fish them more often with better success.

I have fished Chisholm several times but I never seem to have any luck catching much other than baby bluegill/sunfish.

I know it gets fished heavy right with catching coming easier after they stock it each week which I have not been able to hit living in south GP/Arlington area.

I have certainly witnessed others pulling out some nice catfish though so may be it is just my luck.

I have been tempted to test out BBR as I used to fish this frequently when I lived in Euless many moons ago but have not tested it lately.

What luck have others seen for BBR?

If you're fishing for bass, the boys ranch is your best bet. Chisholm has bass in it, but for the most part they are very small. The boys ranch has a good population of shad and at one time had some big fish in it. I always did good on spinerbaits, swimbaits, and rattletraps. Honestly though, niether one of these places is great for bass because of all the fishing pressure they get.

I heard there is a pond behind the Hilton Hotel by the Grapevine Mills Mall that has some decent bass.

Bedford Boys Ranch is a total waste of time. Way over fished, and no good size fish anyway. Its comparable to Bob Jones. Dont waste your time.

I agree. I typically shy away from places like this. Overfished.

Most of the time, it works every time.

the boys ranch has some hudge bass in it. catching them is the "catch" though. i usually catch about 2-3 when i go but usually nothing big. its deffinately a challenge but that makes all the better to test your skills so i appriciate it in that aspect. the biggest ive caught out of their was about a 5-6 punder but ive seen a picture of this guy that caught a 10. yes a ten#.

When I was younger, I was throwing a cast net...yes I now know....and thought I got held up on god knows what over on the southeast side by the "spillway" but ended up a bass prolly pushing 4#....they are in there

Also hooked the biggest shad in my life out there before one of the bad summer storms back in high school off the dock.

It's a fun place, close to my heart growing up in that park doing anything and everything, although Chisholm is right there as well.

Man I am an avid bass fisherman on the lakes but its fun to get out to a pond and just slay 10-30 fish a day!! The BBR is a tough place to fish!! You sure test your skills out there!! There are some really big girls in there though guys!! Yes it is overfished but so is every other community pong around here!! I love going out there knowing its going to be a big challenge to catch fish!!! Go out there with a watermelon red lizard and either t-rig it or put in on a c-rig and throw the . . . out of it!!! Get you some shachy heads with a finesse worm on it!! can go wrong out there!!

Bedford boys ranch has some huge bass in it. They've been stocking it with florida large mouths since 1985
