Several of the Shimano series, like Crucial, have a lifetime, no questions, no fee, warranty. I have used it twice on my Crucial Drop Shot rods over the last few years and I am very pleased.
It's nice to see some mid-ranged priced rods with the =/> warranty as the high dollar G-Loomis rods. thumb

sw parts is the place to exchange...they have a great selection of rods and no question exchange...pretty sure its a $50.00 deal.

I have broken two of them...one my fault, one just broke on a hook set...took them both back and got new ones using the exchange program.

Can You tell Me about this exchange program at SW Parts- because I dont know of any. I understand they carry a few Loomis Rods, but cant say anything about any exchange. Even at $50, $75, $125 deal

Don't kill me Loomis lovers it is just an opinion. blush

I'm a Loomis lover...but I agree with you. When I worked retail tackle sales, I suggested St. Croix in every breath that included Loomis. I was fortuante enough to get employee break on all my Loomis rods.

Fishingwidow1979, they are a retailer of Loomis rods....any retailer can exchange it for the 50.00 ( ? I thought expedite service was 55.00 or 60.00.....been a while )
It's more of a courtesy thing than anything....for the same money you can call Loonis direct, have a new one at your dorr in 1 or 2 days, and send your broken one back in the tube and shipping label that they provide. Only "possible" snare would be that thyey require a credit card in case you never send the broken rod back.

I broke a Loomis rod pulling a 22'' striper on a boat. My fault. Got a brand new one in like 2-3 business days. Loomis warranty is the best!

SW Parts will exchange the rod if you bought it from them Otherwise you got to use the expeditor service.

That is exactly the story I got when I called them. Not that I blame them or hold the policy against them cause you are asking a retailer a lot when you ask them to exchange something that was not even bought at their store.

Gloomis told me that I could send a broken rod to them and they would look it over and if they decided it was a defect they would replace it for free and if it weren't a defect then there would be no warranty. They also said it would take 4-6 weeks.

If I opted for the Expeditor service they would send one out that day and I'd get it in 3-5 days for the $50 fee. Since I let the rod locker close on it, I opted for the $50.
