I have to agree with fool4fishing. More detail is needed.
When was the last time you replaced the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs? And what brand/quailty of parts did you use? I have a '97 v6 that had similar symtoms, mainly after a heavy dew or on a raining day. Turned out to be a corroded dis. cap and a cracked wire. I didn't have but about a year on cap and wires, maybe 20k miles. I had used cheap parts and got what I paid for. I replaced the cheap parts with good quailty parts and the mystery was solved.

Don't over look the small stuff.

had a 01 v6 and it seemed like every year i would have to replace the dist cap and rotor, wether they were high price or cheep when they went bad it seemed like it would be higher humidity days,

I had that same problem when it got humid, especially last year when we had all that rain. Parking on gravel near grass didn't help either.

I went outta town today and it messed up again! I limped into a small shop told the mech. what was going on. He checked it out, low fuel pressure. Guess I got a bad NEW fuel pump. Goes to the shop Monday under warranty. Took 5hrs to go 70mi. 35-40 on the hwy ain't fun, stopping every few miles to let it cool off. realmad

also check to see if the orings on the fuel filter lines are there, i have seen them fall off when replacing the filter and you wont even notice they fell off, might not even see a leak it will just suck air into the system.

It's in the shop right now. I told the mech to keep it as long as he needs to.
