Good at Choke, as usual. I fished Thurs., Fri., and Sat., caught too many to count, but kept limits of blues over 2 lbs.
Lost one about 15 lbs in the brush. Fished in 42-46 feet of water with Marv's bait. Pics when i get them, they're on my buddy's camera.

How do you rig your baits for deep catfishing? I am a bass fisherman but my kids want to try for catfish.
Thanks,
Eric

Here is the secret to my succes at catfishing.............

"Go early,
stay late,
keep bait in the water."

One more thing, I use treble hooks.

I love my Skiff! it's a mullet slapper in choppy water, but I get home safe.
I bought my first boat when I was in high school in 1959, and I've had quite a few, but Carolina Skiff builds the perfect boat for me. Catfish, reds, trout, flounder, and gafftop are my favorite inshore fish, and my Skiff gets 'em all. I just wish they made a 30 foot boat.

I thought you said you purchased your first boat from a guy named Noah, He said he could make you agreat deal on it because he was building a bigger one, LMAO ROF !!!

Just kid'n ya my friend, I'll see you at Choke Fri. Eve....

Choke canyon Blues,
Try the 35' water near telephone pole point.
Follow the river channel and look for shad.
Or
Fish the brush 3' deep with a slip float.

Oh Ya, Use Big Marv's Cheese Bait,on a #6 treble hook, IMHO it is the very Best Catfish bait you can get.

Good Luck.....

He weighed about 2 lbs then.

Good advice in the post above this one. Try it.
