Not looking for a honey hole. Just general area and type of structure to try for some crappie on Lewisville. I have only actually fished for crappie once on this lake and only caught one. I normally go for sandies and catfish. I plan to go out this Thur and or Friday wind permitting. Pm me if you would prefer to do that. Any help would be appreciated. I put on at Westlake park on the Lake Dallas end of the lake.

Joe

Fish the bridge off Little Elm and all the trees north of it in about 8-14 ft of water and you should do descently well. You will probably have to weed through a ton of baby crappie to get a few slabs but it's still fun catching fish right?

Will do. I was at the bridge last week and didnt have a trolling motor to work around the poles. I will have one this week and give it another try.

Thanks,
Joe

We usually have good luck on the 4th to the last pillar furthest away from the ramp. We call that one old lucky. grin

Westlake Park would be closer to the new bridge wouldn't it? Has anybody had any luck there? I haven't been over to see it yet but it looks pretty substantial.

Westlake park is very close to the new bridge. I may give it a try also.

I was talking about the 720 bridge. Haven't fished the new bridge. If you do, let me know how it goes.

This is just a guess on my part. I would start at 4feet of water. Look for stickups close to the shore. Go far north but don't go past 380. I would also find some stickups close to the creek. The big fish are going to be scattered until they start to work their way back to deep water. This is what I would do if I were fishing a tourny but if I was just wanted to catch some fish, anywhere with structure should be good for a bite. Take minnows and jigs and fish slow. If you don't catch a little fish in a spot I would fish that spot even harder looking for the big one.

FYI, They usually will chase you away from the new bridge until it's done. coach

I have been under the new bridge several times on the way to catfish and it has been after working hours, so nobody was home.
