It was a good day out there. The boy didn't jump in the water, get himself stuck with a hook, only threw his hat and my coke overboard and we caught fish the whole time we were out there.
I will add that dropping all the way to pile then slow reeling up was the most effect technique of the day for minnows and jigs.

Went to Ray Roberts Saturday morning. Caught over 100 fish off jigs and minnows. Took 25 home. Didnt find "good" fish until mid day in 40+ feet of water. Fish were about 20-25 ft down and they were all bigguns!
Great day on the water

You must have heard the sweet harmony come from Little Elm Saturday. I fried up the portion I took home and made myself two poor boys and thought about having a third.

Hello Guys, I am new to TFF,
I have a vacation week (and my B-day) this week, planning on spending some time at RayBob chasing whatever is biting! Does anyone have any pointers for me? Not very familiar with lake hotspot areas?
Thanks, any tips would be greatly appreciated!

No takers on the lake tips and help?
I am not an expert by any means but I would suggest you going to the gas station at the corner of bus. 377 and the road that takes you to Jordan Park. They have a map there called a Martins Map and it will show you where all the core brush piles are at. From what I have seen from previous reports that is where they are being caught right now. Sorry for hijacking the post guys, just wanted to help another tff'er out. Congrats on the catch, I am hoping to do the same this friday myself!!

Hey KB&BM,
I am no expert, but I did go out on raybob yesterday put in at buck creek off 377. Fished the bridges there and also the timber. Caught about 60 crappie however most were dinks with only a few keepers.Since you are in Keller I do have a martins map and would be willing to meet you somewhere if you care to make some notes where the brush piles are. I am also on vacation this week and plan on making another trip or two up there in the next 12 days.
Eric

I'm working in Gainesville for the next few months. Any good places on Ray Roberts or Texoma to do some fishing with no boat? Crappie preferred but any ideas would be very welcomed to get into some action. I've got plenty of time while here. Thanks
