hey now. i was planing on floating the brazos in a canoe with a trolling motor and i'm trying to find out if i can have some brewski's on board while doing it. i have heard conflicting info on the regulations regarding having beer on board in the river. what is your take?

I know you can drink in a boat on Lake Lewisville, but I don't know about the Brazos River. I would call the local police station where you are going and ask them. It is not illegal to drink on a boat, but it is illegal to operate a boat under the influence, so be careful.

for the most part the same rules for the road apply to boating.

I think it is illegal to NOT drink beer on the Brazos judging from the way some of the locals around Palo Pinto drink!!! Seriously, beer is legal on the Brazos.
