When your unit starts up it will begin making a trail as you move. It will run something like 2000 points on it. When you want a new trail you can start one from the menu in map page go to my trails. You can name the trails or let the unit number them.

Once you have saved trails they will load to an sd card along with the waypoint file. Then you can see them in MC. That is what works for me anyway.

Bullet---You need to Save Data to SD card. Think it is Menu, Menu,System Setup (ENT), Transfer My Data (ENT), Save (ENT).

Think those are the steps.

JOF, thats is what I have done several times and I open the file it saves onto my SD card but the trails are just not there. Maybe I should be calling the Mapcreate people to see if it is operator error with their program.

I am using MC7.

Which version of MC are you using?

Which version in the 520 are you using to save version 2 or 3?

If you are using version 3 which is the default, it won't work. You will have to switch to version 2 then save.

MC7 is what I am using, I have been saving it as v3.0 so I will try the 2.0 thing tonight. Thx Dayne.
You know Lowrance & MC could make this a whole lot easier than it is huh

I totally agree. That is what you get when you put geeks in cubicles and don't let them out in the sunshine.

You are welcome. I have been down that rocky road.

The best place I have found for electronic help is:
