Saturday fished with my neighbors and good friends Barry and Christie. We didn't want to go out there too early, but couldn't seem to get up there until just before noon time. (Barry and Christie offered to cook breakfast, so I wasn't going to rush). The lake was beautiful, actually too calm. I prefer a little bit of a riffle (is that a real word???) on the water. Well we tore them up. Ended the day with 283 on the clicker, with a few nice blue cats mixed in. Some of the real fun of the day was watching Christie reel them in three at a time. She had a TNT Limit Gitter, a green Flies by night, and a pink flies by night tied on the line. She had a blast pulling in triples. She kept me hopping taking off those fish. I wouldn't recommend a triple rig with a boat full of people, just too many hooks to keep track of when the fish are flopping around. Off the water at 6:00.

Sunday we went out again with my wife along. We decided to stop at Betty's for the breakfast buffet before we went fishing, so again we didn't reach the lake 'til just before noon. The fishing was a little slower, but not bad. We ended the trip with 122 on the clicker, and a couple really nice cats. Off the water at 4:00.

We used TNT Limit Gitters, 180's, and Prune Pickers (in pink of course). The Flies by Night tied 18" above the slab really cleaned up on them also.

Anyway, the girls were doing there usual trash talking to us guys, and there was a challenge made. Next trip out we are doing a guys against the girls competition. Seperate clickers for each team, total count for the day wins it. Right now we are just having trouble coming up with a suitable wager. Any ideas??? The girls haven't figured out that we take all there fish off for them and do all the lure-tying and reel detangling for them. Wait until they have to do it all themselves!!!! crazy Of course, if they still whoop our butts I will be forced to sell my boat and go into excile on some small island in the Pacific somewhere, living the rest of my life out in shame.

It was a great weekend on the lake, lots of laughs and plenty of fish. See y'all on the lake.

You better be careful those "girls" maybe sandbagging you! BTW if you do lose you should give your boat to a fellow TFF'er. Someone like me! grin

Since you asked Bama, I guess I'll hijack my own post to show off my kids.

My son is still big into fishing

And my daughter (excuse the Pebbles look, the wife just loves doing that)...

Nice looking kids Bob, thank goodness they look like their Mom. Personally I like the pebbles look. My daughter is due to deliver my granddaughter Nov 1st. Providing she doesn't deliver early I'll see ya at the TASF @ RR event. The War Dept. wants to be there when she's born so we'll have a quick trip to Littlerock coming up when it happens. Looking forward to the RayRob trip and took the 24th off so I could get some sleep before this one. Which happens to be the War Dept. birthday. Told her I took it off for her. blush I thought I had your cell# from the LL event but can't find it. I may need you to p.m. it to me in case I can't make it I'll give you a call. thumb

Guess I should have took my brother to RR instead of LL. We fished from 10am to 7pm and only managed 6 fish. I could find them on the graph, but getting them to bite was the problem.

Waiting on Bob Davis' next selfie

Bob we had a great weekend on the water caught so many fish my hands hurt smile .. Yes we were late on Saturday, never thougth you would be on time for breakfast you are never on time to anything LOL.. I just hope we win the contest or we will never hear the end of it. Christie said she was going to call and order a special TNT Slab and some special Flies so that she and Susan have a secret weapon, so BOB call you frinds and make sure that does not happen! I look forward to the next time we get out on the lake. What a great weekend with family, and friends and a few cold beer smile

And the crappie fry last night topped off the whole weekend. Yummy crappie. I will try to get a hold of Bryon and Malic and sabotage her plans to get secret weapons developed. We better make a pre-emptive strike!!!!

Good to meet you out there on the west arm on Saturday, Mr. Bob. I spent most of the afternoon search known and new spots on the east arm. I never ran into any flocks on the east arm. I did pick up a few trolling a hellpet rig. I seem to have the best luck finding a good number of fish over on the west arm these days.

It was good meeting you Erik. I have been having my best luck in the east and west arms. grin Honestly, it just seems to depend on the day. Some days I whack 'em on the east side, some days I whack 'em on the west. I just love Ray Roberts this time of year.
