Had a little Visitor today while out at the farm. Her and my Dog seemed to take a liking to each other.

It looks like the deer has been ear marked, like you would do on cattle. Maybe someone had a pet a one time.

I called the Wildlife preserve and asked them but they said no. They have a couple that had gotten caught in a barbed wire fence so that may be it.

My late uncle Richard had a ranch down by Marfa. He found a dead doe one time that had a new born fawn with her. He took the fawn back to the house. My cousins bottle raised it. She became a pet with free run of the ranch. She would even open the screen door on the back porch and walk right in the house. My uncle rigged up a bell on a collar for her. Anyone hunting the ranch knew not to shoot the deer with the bell. She lived many years and raised fawns of her own at the ranch house.
