Friday night when we got on the ferry my son and I got out of the vehicle and looked over the side. There were about 30 large redfish under the light at the ferry. The fishing was great day and night. All fish were caught on live mullet in the channel.

I sure would like to fish off the side of one of the ferries. Some of those Reds look like logs laying in there. We fished the surf just south of Port A a couple days ago. My son caught his first Red; 27 3/4".

jr2946,
You can fish everywhere except for by the ferries. Big trouble if caught there but many good places elsewhere. Agree with the jetty, the surf and anywhere along Cemetery road from Port A to Aransas Pass (LHL and B&R Flats).

Thanx for the info, but decided to go down by Freeport. Have a canal rental there. Close to surfside beach.
