I was thinking the same thing. I have no problem with him buying 9 citicas and a curado, but I do have a problem with him standing on his soapbox preaching moderation when he makes out with 9 reels.

Well Derek you really should think before you post. The problem I had was with people buying all of them up to sell for profit not buying for personal use or giving to friends--there is a big difference. I didnt get them all from 1 store I only got a couple from each store I went to. As for my integrity--better make sure you know what you are talking about before you question someone's integrity.

Jason, you were complaining that "it is sorry to for someone to make a profit instead of a fisherman getting one that needs one. What is the difference between making a profit and having more reels than you can use. In the past 6 weeks, you have bought AT LEAST a new Curado at Academy, a new Citica at Cabelas, 8 Citica D's at Academy and 1 Curado D at Academy. That is at least 10 new reels (you said you gave one away to a friend) that you have purchased. Even if you were a guide, that would be a lot of rigs to purchase in one swoop. The odds are that you have several other set-ups besides the 10 that you just purchased. More than likely you are going to sell some of those other set-ups because you won't be able to use that many set-ups. Therefore you are trying to make a profit too, because you could sell a used citica for more than what you just paid for the new ones on Ebay. Again, I don't have any problem with you doing that, but I don't believe that you can preach morals when you just purchased 10 reels. If everyone just purchased 1 reel, then more people could have bought the Citica for the sale price. Again, I have no problem with the fact that you did buy that many rigs, I just like to argue and point out when someone is being hypocritical.

Very funny--I gave 3 of them away but thanks for keeping up with all of my purchases--hey I bought a new car for my wife a couple of weeks ago---and oops it wasn't a hybrid so I guess that makes me a bad person too. Nope dont sell any of my rigs I just like to have plenty for backups. Just in case you dont trust me--since you like to keep track with all of my purchases--I can tell you my ebay ID--I do plan on selling some text books and some junk laying around the house but no fishing stuff---feel free to check on my stuff and by all mean please bid on the assorted set of used socks I have been trying to sell

Yep, it's ok when he does it but immoral when someone else does. The reason for hoarding all the reels makes NO difference, you still cheated others out of being able to get a good deal. I just love the way your morality works.

No, you have a double standard, one you apply to your self and one to others. What someone does with something he buys legally has no bearing on whether or not it was right for him to purchase said items.

Most sensible people (and I am a republican) would know that he wasn't refering to Sarah Palin as a pig, but he should have been smart enough to know that Palin made a big splash 2 weeks prior with her lipstick remark and that someone would attack him for mispeaking by using that phrase. You should have known that somoene would be jealous that you got 9 new rigs and that they would criticize you for the statements you made prior.

You are right--plus I dont have time to argue this anymore---I have to go to the mission to see if there is anything they are giving out to the poor that I can auction on ebay--sometimes they give out barely used blankets--especially in the winter.
