You did not tick me off in the slightest. You were right, and he was wrong. I was more concerned for your safety in a situation like that. Everyone knows you HAVE to have a license...if he claims he didn't he is a liar.

Get a CHL get advanced CQB and confront the trash that ruins it for everyone else.
you dont have to be nasty but you can confront them witha assurance that should they try to harm you they will be toes up.

Thanks goodness that was not the prevailing attitude of our fathers generation or this site would be in german and japanese.
Is that a bit of a far reach as a comparison...no doubt.
But can society in general keep refusing to accept any responsilitity at a personal level and instead rely on the government to correct every issue we face...no we cannot.
Think about this example, again a bit extreme-
The nice little old lady next door is getting beat up in her own driveway by some thug because she would not give up her purse. You come out your side door and the whole thing is unfolding in front of you. 20 feet away. Are you going to just go back in the house without trying to stop it because of fear of revenge by this obviously violent criminal? No, I think most of us would react in some manner and take some personable responsibility to try to stop it, even if that is only yelling at the guy to stop and that you are calling the police.
So why the difference? Is the schmuck fishing without a license or keeping short fish more of a danger that the robber? The guy fishing does not even know where you live, but that robber will. So why the difference? Why fear having them know you called the GW?
I do not advocate putting oneself in harms way, but we got to do something...so at the very least go hide in the parking lot or in the trees and call the game wardens.

kinda sucks cuz you really can't do a whole lot... i talked to leroy the game warden about a month ago and they cut the game warden budget by close to 70% this year... this means there will be less activity by the game wardens due to the fact that there will be fewer! so hell grab a few buddies go out to this spot of yours... fish till ya see em come back... then confront again and if they try to walk off with the fish steal the bucket and toss it in the water! then knock him out... thats what i would like to do most of the time but there's always just me and five or six of them... just aint worth it to get things straight if it can't happen! but i like to always say things like... you know i saw the game warden earlier... you better be careful and all that kinda junk if theres more than 2 of em... good luck... people like you make me enjoy fishin more and more! welcome to the forum by the way

Who cut the Game Warden budget? 70% is a massive cut. That just sounds crazy to me. We need Game Wardens, and Park Rangers. As long as they are nice, I am fine. Most are. I only met one in Tx that was a pain in the rear end. That was at Lake Fork. (I didn't even have a fish there but he was questioning my license...and was a grumpy guy. He walked all the way down the bridge just to come to me alone out there, with my two dogs. They barked at him, and then he made a comment about my dog I didn't like) The rest have been fine people. In fact some I have chatted with for a moment were extremely nice. They aren't the bad guys.
