How does an 18 year old with no boat and is not on a college fishing team get sponsored with no connections?

It would be hard but it is possible. First learn all you can about marketing....then fish pretigious trails as a non boater. that will start you probably.

Join the Marines and spend your garrison time fishing MBAA tournaments between stints in Iraq and Afgahnistan...if you're lucky enough to be stationed at Pendleton. Don't show up at the ramp on San Vicente with flipping sticks, braid and 10 inch worms though...been there, done that...now I sponsor myself. Good luck.

Clay, go to EVERY FISHING event you can. Cook outs, charity event's, ECT.
Get into a bass club that allows none boaters, fish with as many different anglers as you can. Get a couple of buddies that have boats and fish as much as you can. Be respectful of others, and there property. Always pitch in for gas.
ALWAYS....ALWAYS...try to do MORE for others.
AND REMEMBER, If your goal to one day fish on what ever level you want to be at, don't let negative people bring you down. Stay positive and maintain your composure.

I fish a tourney every week with my uncle and sometimes other people, i've been doing really well this year, winning big bass and setting tournament records,.... Thanks for all your advice
