Thanks TxBazz! I just got back from Kirby about an hour ago. We were bank fishing my 7 year old caught a couple of kitties in the the stix on northeast corner but that was all. I do plan on fishing as much as possible and will definitely be fishing other lakes. Again thx for info.

Any help is greatly appreciated. When you say backside do you mean the east side? I couldn't figure out how to get there from Maple Street So I entered on the hwy side and took the road to the northeast corner. Thanks once again for taking the time to help! Maybe we will run in to each other while fishing Kirby.

Welcome aboard. I will send you information on where to send your monthly dues.

You get to the lake by going thru the baseball park. The best lure I have found is a yellow bettlespin. I usually catch a couple to a few everytime I walk the bank there. I just started using a boat a few months ago. Still say Johnson Park on Phantom is the best bank location in the area. I usually just cast net shad for bait, but have some friends who are having good luck with premixed baits like secret 7. Are you A/F here?
 Boatless for minute

SNMCC no not A/F. My boys and I have shore fished from Phantom a few times since we have moved here. White or chartruese spinner baits rolled as close to any shore that has extending grass has produced quite well. I plan on getting a boat in the very near future. Thank you for info on Kirby
