Saw Walmart have these on sale, never use them but want to try, I was wondering how does it work for you? Thanks;

In general kahle hooks are good,... although I wouldn't use them for catch and release as they can hook deep.
I got a pack of tru-turn 2/0 catfish hooks, 50, for just a dollar... what a deal. Lot's of 6/0 and 7/0 Gamakatsu octopus hooks for a dollar a pack as well.
Well, I guess Wally World clearing out anything made in Japan, Europe, or US so they can fill what little fishing isle space that is left with stuff made in China where they can get the higher markups. Oh well, cannot complain about clearance prices ;-)

Thanks Tony ! Comparing to Team catfish's double action, other than it is different style of hook, strike king seems to be "slimer" than the double actions. Hope they won't straighten out. 1 dollar a pack for Tru-turn is sure good deal, unfortunately, there is no Wally World here in Austin Mike

they're not comparable to the double action hooks but more like the 4/0 eagle claw kahle hooks as they're bronze and the same style and they work okay and they'll fail if you don't know what you're doing on setting the drag ... ya gotta have the drag set light enough on your reel so that it's going to slip and allow your terminal gear and line not to fail, bend, break or any other thing that might go wrong when you're fighting a big fish. when I'm guiding I have my reels set to slip with just the pressure of a 6 to 8 lb fish so that if a biggun is whisker hooked we still have a good shot at netting him. if the drag is fairly tight those whisker hooked fish will rip the hook out of the whisker or little bit of flesh they're hooked in. the 34 lb'r we caught just the other day I'd tied on a bass worm hook and got the bite on it and it straightened out to where the only thing that was holding that fish was the barb of the hook ... the hook itself was straightened out as straight as an arrow but we still netted the fish because I had the drags set so light that it wouldn't pull the barb out of the fish. that was lucky but if you use a lithter drag setting than usual and ya don't got much debris in the water to get wrapped on and fight the fish a little lighter than you're used to you'll get bigger fish in the boat. your whisker sticker hooks will be fine as they're a good style kahle hook for the price ... probably better than eagle claw lazer sharps and I use those quite a bit and have used the whisker sticker hooks as well but they're hard to get out of the fish due to the double barbs and usually end up bending them to get them out if they're hooked in a hard part of the fish's mouth.
