Reminds me of the good ole days,Amarillo dragway, street racing, cruizing on sundays & best of all picking up girls in the ole hot rod.
A bad day on the lake is much better than a good day at work!

Really brings back memories as I was a product of that era..had a 39 Ford convert, 48 Merc convert, 50 Ford, and a 55 Chevey. Then got married.

Brings back the memories. I had a 56, 58, 60, 61, and 67 Chevy, all at different times. I went through cars like they were water. I liked the 58 the best. I will have a 55-58 Olds Rocket one day.

We started at the old Tyler/Whitehouse drag strip. It went from there to Green Valley Raceway for special events. A little later it was I-20 Raceway north of Tyler on Saturday nights and Hallsville on Sunday. What a trip. Set my first National record at Gulfport raceway in Gulfport Miss, back in the mid 70s.
