Fork will get put back on the schedule, but not this year. There are blues in that lake, I have seen them.
I do agree with slewft though, an all around good catfisherman should be able to change approach, and come up with the heavy stringer whether it be channels or blues. It is nice to see big fish brought in, but can't happen all the time.
are you sure those blues you seen ain't male channelcat? male channelcat are blue-er than blue cat. usually when a lake gets bluecat in it then it's only a year or two before it gets overrun with bluecat as they'll stamp out the channelcat population ... not completely but in just a short while you'll catch 20 blues to one channelcat.

I am pretty good at distinguishing a blue from a channel. And if the ones that I have seen were channels they would be world records, cause some were over 50lbs.

I have caught a few of the male channels you are describing tiny, but to me they are not that close in resemblence, I don't know how so many people mistake them.

the season has not been cancelled. the tournament on lewisville was cancelled due to schedule conflict and 09 season will happen just has not been released. will be released at a later date on our webpage.

Oh well thats great news Brent! plan a tourney on Eagle Mountain...close to the plex and got some blues in it ! ask Mickey....glad to hear you guys are going to have a season I just told Ernie that it was not going to happen guess I will call him back.....see ya soon!

Unless Brent has changed something without saying, the season will not kick off till fall of 2009. There will be some Big fish tournaments on Lavon, and tawakoni, but no trail.

you must be confused mark.... the season will start in 09 as it has been said. will have a tournament trail in 09. nothing has been cancelled, its not 09 yet. our season opener and fun tournament was going to be on lewisville and YES, That and only that tournament was cancelled. not even cancelled(rescheduled).
