I went over the first 5 or 6 pages in the particular forum, and many have posted their spots. The idea behind this thread is to consolidate have one thread with numerous spots listed to save time, and discuss them. There's no need for specifics to be PM'ed as we are amongst our own. If you cant trust certain people here, out them, weed out the badguys.
Again, the sport of fishing is at its very roots about sharing info, this forum at its foundation is about sharing. We do each other a disservice by not helping other fishermen out. It almost reeks of hypocrisy. Here you, and I'm not speaking directly at anyone, come to this forum, seeking to gain knowledge, yet when the time comes to return it, you pick and choose what you will return.
I have now taken 3 people to the spot I spoke of in my first post, and all of them have come away happy. It was a pleasure in doing so. That makes it all worthwhile.

Hey guys, Google Earth is a great program to look at these fishing spots from a satellite view. Lets you see all the areas around that hold water.
Just a thought

Chubby There is also a small gravel pit behind the N/G Armory.. I fished all those when I was a kid.. caught my first bass over 8# out of the small one in 1969. Floating frogs and poppers work real good under the willows at the small pond.. you have to get under them and cast parallel to the bank. Topwaters also work in the Big pit you like to fish early and late. The far corner up the bike trail from the LBH parking lot is where the deep water is located.. about 16-18ft at full pool. There is a sandy point that goes out a good ways and the deep hole is to the right as you face the water. Get you a float tube/ belly boat and get after them Bass! Bazz

I'm all about sharing hotspots...got a few I could let ya'll in on
Preston @ Legacy....its a pretty decent sized water hole. seems to narrow and get wide then narrow then get wide again like a long winding river (I would say its about a mile long). You can access the bank at Legacy and preston or just drive down a bit to Tennyson @ preston and fish there. Its a bit weedy but can produce some nice bass off worms and lizards. (I wouldnt recommend chunking a rattletrap in there). I baught an inflatable fishing boat from academy and well it makes fishing this pond a bit easier. I have seen dudes in kayaks fishing as well..but bank access is decent there just where some kind of snake proof boots as there is tall grass all along the bank.
Chase Oaks Golf course in Plano: A buddy and myself used to walk the entire thing when it would be closed on Monday for Miantnence or a holiday and lets just say its some of the best pond bass fishin' I have done. Armed with a backpack full of takle, some comfy crocs and our fishin poles we would catch on average around 20-30 bass on a decent day. I would'nt recommend doing this when its open even though many of you already know this but trust me..They walk among us!!
This is just a few of my hotspots I like to hit on a nice afternoon. Hope ya'll enjoy and Good luck!

Bazztex, thanks for the words.
I have tried the hole behind the NG Armory, and it is loaded...with Gar. Damn! They were nailing my $1 special Walmart spinnerbaits, but I never got the hook set on em.
As for the little Lake LB Houston, I've been smokin' zee bass with those Walmart spinners, but now I use Bumper Stumper Spinnerbaits. The other things that have worked for me have been silver sided rattletraps, albino Zoom Super Flukes, and white/glitter Yamasenkos.
The deepest water I've been able to find is on the northside of the lake, about 50ft off the shore, its maybe 15ft.
I have been on the southside of the lake many times. The mountain bikers ride parallel to the southern shoreline. They carved some kind of cubbies for people to fish from, but they have grown back in. Myself and another regular machete'd out these spots again.
This fall I'm going to try and carve a new path that can be used to access the northeast corner, and some of the eastern shoreline.
I do want to get a boat out there, but money is an issue as I'm laid off right now. Hopefully that BS changes this week.
Folks, there are some big fish in this lake! I fecal thou not! Rudy says there has been an 8.5# Bass come out of there, and I believe him, as I recently caught one that size(pics in next post).
