Good to hear you are going to take the plung Dave.
How did the motor work out, did you get it fixed?
I will be out Sat. with a trip in the morn.
I have been out a few times this week finding new structure and fishing a little.
The bite has been pretty good but not fantastic. Been a while since I have caught a fish bigger than 12 in.
Even though the fish are short they are really getting thick. They have started their fall pattern and are busting their guts with shad.
Water temp was 83 the other morning and I was catching fish in 5-6 ft. of water.
OK, that's all I can give up,can't tell all my secrets.
As always I will be a partner with you on the lake and help you when I can just as I know you will do for me!
Lets go have some fun!!!!!!!!!!!! cheers

I'm always in a good mood when I'm fishing.

bannana2 Hey DougM, Perhaps you should adjust your computers protection device to a kinder, more compassionate, sensitive setting. Not a wise crackjust a suggestion. bolt

G-town does have crappie. Just not in the numbers like Granger. I am heading out this morning to scout out a few more spots on
G-town.

Keep on fishing.

Congrats. You should do real well in the winter months since nobody is out there in the COLD. Then you should be in the groove to know where all the fish are for the spring and summer. You know it is eazy to be a self proclaimed guide and one thing to remember its the numbers of fish and the size of the take home bag.

Congrats Dave!!!

More guides the better! Should bring down the price for us consumers. There are still 6 other part time guides that I know of on Granger. More the better. Have you thought about doing any night guides? Wonder how night fishing on Granger would be?

Glad to see you are also going on G-town. I love to fish that lake at night during the winter. Tie up off Hoggs park along the old channel and you will get waves of all types of fish. The hybrids are really fun to catch but costly. I lost more rods to them then I care too. The bluffs are great protection from the north winds. But when the winds are out of the SE or SW, then you have to fish the south bank which is not as good with the exception of across from the swim beach.
