I need a starter rebuilt on my 82 Mariner 150 in Amarillo does anyone know where to get this done thanks?

Don't tell me you still haven't had that thing out on the water? At this rate it'll be another 3 years! shocked

I called B&W Battery at 1024 W 3rd at 374-8901 and he says they rebuilt outboard starters pretty often. He said take it by and they will give you a free estimate. I've never used them but a free estimate can't hurt anyway.

Thanks RRaider Ill give them a call. I went out this weekend and was still fine tuning a few things like replacing all on the fuel lines on the motor that were dry rotted. Now I need to work on the TM switch and get the starter rebuilt, the starter works but it is getting weak and wont always spin the bendix up into the fly wheel.

make sure the shaft is not gunked up and slowing the bendix down..clean it and put some light oil,not much, and see if it spins..A starter rebuild, here is around $75.00..

i bought a brand new starter for a 150 evinrude off of ebay for 91.25 to my door with a 1yr warr. just my .02
