Well folks I had to take my daughter back to Tyler today and the wife told me if why not take the boat and fish Twok... Well I agreed and called Greg since we had some catching up and talking we needed to do and we were off to Lake Palestine instead.

We dropped Emily off at 2pm and were on the lake fishing by 3pm since Lake Palestine is just a short way from the school. Man the winds were stiff a so we braved it out to a general location given to us by the Beast-master himself.

Folks we took a beating with the wind but the Gou pressed on, we fished and combed this area and picked up about 8-10 undersized hybrids (17 to right under 19 inches) and as the weather moved in at about 5:30 Greg's Beast was subltely picked up by a nice hybrid and that is all she wrote for the next 3 hours. The fish were moving a great deal along a ridge in 15 feet of water not 18 or 17, or even 14 just 15 and we would pick up 2-3 at a time unhook, re-tie and find them again.

My arms hurt and it was a real pleasure to see these bronze looking hybrids that do not exhibit the silvery prism that the ones a LL have.

We ended the day with 2 limits of hybrids and 28-32 hybrids in total... Folks it is a great lake and the ramp and cleaning station is outstanding. The hybrids were form 22-24.5 inches and we picked up a few 15 inch sand bass.

I would say the Beast and the Potlciker tied as both of us brought home limits. All fish were caught on 1 ounce slabs white and gold Potlicker and white Beast. They did not care for 1.5 ounce baits or 2 ounce baits just 1 ounce....
